Home Inspections are a total waste of money. I had that experience in Baltimore with my house and didn't want to get one on this house in Texas. But noooooooooooooooo. The Preach had to have a home inspection.

Well, let me tell you..........

Within a week of moving in, the brand new water heater that passed inspection went up.

Within two weeks we found out the roof that passed with flying colors leaks.

OMFG it's HOT!!!!

We have had a 100 degree PLUS heat wave this week. It's crazy. It is so hot you can not step outside without it taking your breath away.

I am going to hate to see what's it will be like in the next month when summer really hits us full blast.

OMG! I almost have a migrane right now.

I have a huge project of consolidating Colorado spare parts inventory into ours because the CO plant is shutting down. I already have more work than I can handle. We ran out of alot of stuff last night because the CEO is coming and someone decides we should clean real good. No one gave me a heads up to have extra on hand. I'm ordering stuff like crazy and trying to catch up on paper work before the next trailer gets unloaded.

I am SO ready for winter to be over. Winter is already my least favorite season - I HATE being cold!!

I have spent the last two weeks doctoring both of the girls and trying to keep their colds from turning into something worse. But, this STUPID weather is working against me!!! How are we supposed to stay well when it's 76 degrees one day and back down into the 30's the next???

I can't go!!!!!

My team is going on an investigation Sunday and I have to stay home with my leg up in the air and an ice pack on my knee.

I fell back on Jan 17 and landed on my knee on a metal air intake cover. You know, the large metal square that's on the floor for the central heat and air.
This is so terrible. I have no words.

A drunk man who urinated on a dying, disabled woman while his friends filmed the humiliation on their phones has been jailed for three years.

I always make fun of people when I drive with them the first time. You find out what their true personality is when they are behind the wheel. Anyway I am no different. I do try to be courteous. After living in Hawaii I have slowed down and learned to relax and let people have the space they want when they drive.

Way too scary and too close for comfort. He lived three blocks from me and one block from the elementary school. The incident happened one block from the school where I work.

School Shopping

I took my son shopping for school supplies today. He buys his own clothes. I do not have the budget for South Pole. My budget is for Telephone Pole.

So he's a senior this year. The last time I will ever have to buy school supplies after all these long years. The first time we waited for the very last possible moment to buy school supplies.

The good news is I got away for about $20. Notebook, dividers, paper, pens, pencils, done. I did offer to buy him a Spiderman...

So I went to the doctor today. I hate doctors. The Preach has to fight with me to get my A1C done every three months to get my diabetes meds refilled. And going to the doctor for my degenerative arthritis, well, we won't even discuss that. Because I deal with it, thank you very much.

So my smart tailed loving husband makes me two appointments today. After school, of course. Well, Doctor No. 1, I call Dr. Doom and Gloom. My A1C was 7.6, which is way lower than it's ever been. Why...

So we're in the middle of a home invasion/ hostage standoff here in the hood. We're pretty much locked down. It's eased up a bit in the last hour or so, so we got Amber and Joshua out of here with his new goose egg.

I don't know a lot of details as to what's going on. It hasn't been on the news because, hey, this is Dundalk, hon. We're used to this stuff. We're veterans of the Palczynski standoff in 2000. And nobody's been killed yet, so we don't rate the news.

So, yesterday I am sitting at the bus stop with camera at the ready. Every child gets off the bus and the bus driver goes to shut the door. My mom runs up with Morrigan in tow and lets the bus driver know that we are missing Jenna.
