What could be causing the purple steak on Sassy's leg? Is it just sun glare? Does sun glare tend to appear to be moving?

A friend of mine at work gave me this picture and asked for our opinions. She and her husband are interested in the paranormal and went out one night and went investigating on their own at a cemetery not to far from their house and out of all the pictures that she took with her 35mm/400speed camera, 2 of the pictures turned out like this (this one is one of them) in pretty much the same location.
