What does it mean to you? Do you believe in it? Why is it that most every religion and country believes in it except for christianity? Have you studied the historical reasons for this? Why are we allowed to keep reincarnating?

Na, I believe that when you die you either go to Heaven of Hell, or you roam the Earth for some unknown reason until someone knocks you in the head and says hey! Go towards the light! Or maybe when you die you just kind of wander the Earth for a while until it's your turn to go into the light. Kind of like when you go to Disney Land and you have to wait 2 hours just to go on the Matterhorn.
Does that aluminum foil hat come with a pipe?

I am sorry Christy I didn't get back to this. I have been so busy. I have read and this is what I believe is that you are allowed to reincarnate until you become a better person. I also believe that we choose to reincarnate but I have no idea why I think that. |

my apologies, I completely forgot about this thread myself.
I do believe in reincarnation for various reasons. one of them being because of experiences I have had over the years that corrilate with readings I have received. Most are too personal for me to discuss in a public forum and they are simply too precious to me. Others are just my conclusions from reading a lot about religions that have a deep belief in reincarnation, like Eastern Mysticism. In real simple terms I do belief we are on this earth to learn and evolve as beings. We do this in various lifetimes and are preparing for a different place. I believe that our life here on earth is really not as important as we humans would like to think. I believe there are other dimensions we are not able to see where the "real action" happens. However, I think our actions in this life time will speak louder than words and decide our next phase. I do believe as humans we are not as far up on the evolutionary chain as we'd like to think of ourselves. and until we get that, we will have to come back and learn. Of course there's a lot of guessing at work here as well, but hey - to me it beats the "you are born as a screwed up sinner... pray & feel free to hate in the name of God and then pray some more before you die and you shall go to heaven..." Uhmmmm - no.....LOL I am probably not making sense to many, but thats fine too. You say potato I see potato - we'll see if we'll have mashed or baked potatoes for dinner  |

Yep. Thats what angers me. The reasoning behind getting rid of reincarnation in the bible or christian religion rather was because the nobles did not want the people that were lower then them realizing that they had access to being reincarnated. I haven't had enough coffee to explain this like I want to, but you get the point.
 Christianity is one of the only religions that omits reincarnation from their teachings.  |

Reincarnation is a tough one. Many arguments for and against.
My main problem with reincarnation is that there are more people alive today than there was in all of history. (As far as we know at any rate). Given that line of thinking, I would have to say it probably is not something that occurs. On a personal level. I have often at times run into people I could swear Ive known for years. Some people you just look at and know that you know them and have that Have we met before? reaction. I cannot explain why or how, it just is. Others I look at and get the sense of a life-long friend or soul-mate. I have no explanation for this either. Past life? A soul I knew before I was born? I dont know. I wish that I could break this down to logic and equations but I cannot (Which is very frustrating I may add). Maybe I should be more in-tune and pay attention to these things, or vocalize it when it happens, but as usual with me I ignore it and eventually forget about it until it happens again. Any-way, thats my say on the subject. Take care! |

Maybe once we reach that higher point we aren't allowed to reincarnate? Or maybe we are given a choice if we want to reincarnate? I have seen too many things that makes me think someone has been reincarnated. But I don't have the answers to why there are more people now-or any answers at all regarding this.
