I have recently started to come terms with my psychic abilities, and the ideas of life after death.
Part of this realization came in the form of sharing information and experiences with my mother.
fter a bit of discussion we both agree that this seems to run in our family... from my grandmother's (her mother's) side... if not from both of her sides. Also, on my father's mother's side.
Anyway... my experiences and talents are a bit different than my mother's... and somehow they are linked to my family and to our family home in Louisiana. It's almost like I "belong" to them... I would guess 90% of the feelings/experiences I get are from them or about them or about the little place my family has lived for the past 100+ years. I have no idea if this is a subconcious decision I have made or if it is just how it is...
I know psychic abilities run in families... but has anyone heard of this particular manifestation where a person is so strongly connected to a group of family members and a place? I am slso greatly affected by the little town where my family is from... the only way to describe it is that I am always drawn there, feel "better" there (like I'm functioning on the correct frequency), and experience a different energy when I am there (particularly in the family church or cemetery).
Also, I feel as if I can call on my family members (women in particular) and they will be with me. No, I don't see them, but I feel them... one in particular who passed recently (she is like the caretaker of the living family, even in death). I feel their emotions... happiness, sadness - in regards to hurricanes Katrina/Rita in particular (two years of pain and sadness).
I also feel like there is something I am supposed to do regarding my family... and I have no idea what it is. I don't know if I'm supposed to just realize what is going on, record it (write it down), share it with someone... or what. But I definitely feel like there is a reason for my connection to the place and the people.
